CopyBot, developed by Growably for Smarters, is the first Romanian AI Assistant built to solve a persistent challenge faced by copywriters—overcoming writer’s block and maintaining consistent quality in ads, blog posts, and other content. Initiated in August 2021 and launched in the spring of 2022, CopyBot empowered content creators long before tools like ChatGPT became mainstream.

Project Overview

The idea for CopyBot came from Toma Grozavescu, founder of Smarters, one of Romania’s most prolific SEO agencies. The challenge? Help copywriters break through creative blocks and generate high-quality content consistently.

What started as a “crazy idea” quickly evolved into a real, AI-powered tool that improved efficiency and creativity across Smarters’ teams and beyond.

Growably collaborated closely with Smarters’ internal teams to bring this vision to life. From prototyping and AI core logic to designing an intuitive user experience, CopyBot was developed to seamlessly integrate into the workflows of content creators.

The Challenge

We identified three primary challenges:

Writer’s Block: Copywriters struggled to consistently produce creative, high-quality content.
Consistency: Maintaining the same level of quality across ads, blogs, and campaigns was difficult.
Innovation: Delivering a solution that was intuitive, fast, and capable of generating fresh ideas from multiple perspectives.

Solution

AI-Powered Content Generation

Developed core AI logic capable of generating ideas, enhancing creativity, and reducing time spent on content creation.

Collaborative Wireframing and Design

Worked closely with Smarters’ internal teams to design an intuitive and user-friendly experience.
Alin Roșioru, Brand Guru and UX Lead at the time, played a key role in translating the idea into clear and actionable wireframes.

Custom WordPress Integration

Built a robust front-end using WordPress for a smooth and visually appealing user experience.
Developed custom WordPress plugins for the application’s back-end to handle AI processing and user interactions seamlessly.

Iterative Development and Prototyping

Rapid prototyping to validate the app’s core features and refine its functionality.
Polished the application for launch, ensuring it was reliable and ready for real-world usage.
